2018 LINE-UP - 13th to 15th of July

FRIDAY July 13th
Steam Train Dance at 2pm with Dave Brennan's Jubilee Jazz Band at Harman's Cross village hall. The steam train will leave from 2pm sharp at Swanage station.
Alan Barnes Octet, Tony Jacobs' Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra with guest Catherine Sykes, Bateman Brothers Jazz Band - 'Tribute to Louis Armstrong and his All-Stars', Tony Kofi’s ‘Portrait of Cannonball’. Followed by a late night jam session from 11pm ‘til 1am in the Conservative Club featuring a top flight rhythm section led by the irrepressible and extremely Welsh trumpeter Andy Davies, who runs the Wednesday night jam at Ronnie Scott’s. Players and listeners all welcome. £10 for non ticket holders. 

Mowlem Theatre. 7pm - Pay event. Open to the public. (N.B. The £5 deal for festival ticket holders is now closed due to too much demand!) The Ronnie Scott's All Stars feat. James Pearson and Alex Garnett - 'The Ronnie Scott's Story' with live jazz, narration, rare archive photos and video footage documenting the gritty history of the legendary London club  + support from Claire Martin OBE with Nigel Price on guitar.

SATURDAY July 14th
‘Echoes Of Ellington’ 18 piece jazz orchestra feat. Claire Martin OBE, Scott Hamilton and Champian Fulton, Ian Bateman and Simon Spillett with the Craig Milverton Trio 'Coppin' The Bop' - A tribute to J.J.Johnson and Frank Rosolino, Phronesis, Brass Volcanoes, Clark Tracey Quintet, Simon Spillett Quartet, Pete Oxley/Nic Meier Quartet. ‘Learn to Lindy Hop’ with Kai Hoffman and her Kombo, Greg Abate, Martin Litton's Red Hot Peppers, The Magnificent 7, John Hallam/Amy Roberts Quintet, The Dixie Strollers, John Maddocks, Byron Wallen's 'Four Corners, Gary Willcox Quartet, Georgia Mancio's 'Salud! Tom Jobim', Johnny Hepbir Trio, Dart Valley Stompers, Graham Smith's Allsorts Quintet feat. John Hallam and Alan Barnes, Alison Rayner Quintet ARQ, Mark Crooks/Colin Oxley Quartet, Terry Quinney’s ‘The Sound Of BlueNote’. Followed again by the late night jam session from 11pm ‘til 1am in the Conservative Club featuring a top flight rhythm section led by the amazing trumpeter Andy Davies, who runs the Wednesday night jam at Ronnie Scott’s. Players and listeners all welcome. £10 for non ticket holders.

Pete Long's 'Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall' show, Keith Nichols' Blue Devils, Jazz Jamaica, Fletch’s Brew, Jazz At The Philharmonic, Andrew McCormack/Jason Yarde Duo, ‘Spats’ Langham, Vitality Five, Sara Dowling Quartet. Paulus Shafer trio, Old Hat Jazz Band, Dorset Youth Jazz Orchestra, Julian Phillips, Dave Moorwood's 'Rascals of Rhythm Jazz Band', Dave Brennan's Jubilee Jazz Band, Anthony Kerr Quartet, Sarah Bolter, Julian Siegel Quartet. No jam tonight.
